Family Christmas Story

Every night in December we do a family activity together. A few nights ago we (mostly Sam) wrote a Christmas story. Enjoy:

Sam's Special Syrup

Once upon a time there was a little puppy named JoJo. JoJo was hungry and wanted pancakes with special syrup that would help him talk. He wanted to learn to talk so that he could tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. One morning JoJo woke up and Sam, his buddy, gave him special syrup on his pancakes. They had tried to buy the syrup at the store but the store was out of it and all of the ingredients. Sam had to make a trip to the North Pole because Santa had all the special ingredients. Sam could go to the North Pole because he is also an elf with pointy ears. After JoJo had the special syrup and could talk he said “I want cereal.” So Sam poured him some cereal. When they were done JoJo said he wanted to deliver a special message to Santa about what he wanted for Christmas. So Sam pushed his special badge that he wears on the right side of his chest. The badge looks like a tiny Santa. When Sam pushes the badge it makes his ears become pointy, because he is an elf. When he has pointy ears a special tunnel in his closet opens and he can go to the North Pole. This is what he and JoJo did. They walked and walked and walked. At the North Pole Sam showed JoJo where Santa lives. JoJo told Santa that he wanted bones, a special Santa badge like Sam’s, and a reindeer collar so he could fly like Rudolph for Christmas. Then Sam and JoJo went and worked in Santa’s workshop until they fell asleep. Except JoJo didn’t fall asleep at all. He just pretended to sleep. The elves loaded them into Santa’s sleigh and Santa took them home with all the presents. JoJo watched everything. When they were delivered home they opened all their toys. They played with the toys the rest of the day. It was the best day ever.
